For pharma duty the machine is half the project — the documentation pack is the other half. THOR ships GMP-grade mills with material certificates per part, weld maps with welder ID per seam, surface-roughness Ra readings per surface, plus IQ / OQ / PQ scripts and a validation-friendly maintenance manual.

Active pharmaceutical ingredients (steroidal, hormonal, oncology, antibiotic), excipients (lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, mannitol), nutraceuticals, sterile lyophilised cake, veterinary actives. For high-potency / OEB 4 – 5 work we recommend a dedicated isolator-skirted machine; we ship those too.
Contained, cleaned, validated.
Standard delivery includes a CIP / SIP-compatible chamber, swab-sample ports, dust-tight changeover and a Ringhalsprotokoll-style cleaning-validation procedure. For potent APIs we pair the mill with a glove-box isolator or a split-butterfly-valve transfer system to keep operator OEL exposure below 1 µg / m³.
Which mill for pharma.
Jet Mill for sub-micron APIs (no metal contact, no heat). Pin Mill for excipients with tight upper-limit cuts. Hammer Mill is rare in pharma but we ship it for veterinary and pre-API intermediate streams.
